Rosewood Saddle

I recently acquired this beautiful rosewood piece advertised as a Turkish birthing chair. Of course, as a former labor and delivery RN, I was curious. I could not grasp how it could possibly aid in childbirth. I set about to make a pillow and cushion from trim and Murano Festival chenille kilim fabric. I love it and I'm anxious to use it as a prop. My sister Sandra immediately knew its function. Not a birthing chair, but a pack saddle! |
